Davie builds a world where material pressure shapes surface, using restrained gesture to hold structure without composition.

How does curvature destabilize surface here?
This is some text inside of a div block.

Curvature is commonly treated as expressive or decorative. In Karin Davie’s work, exaggerated curves function structurally to disrupt equilibrium so that surface registers outward tension beyond conventional containment.

Movement is implied, edges resist stillness, and form bulges relationally, creating a dynamic system where spatial and material intervals are calibrated through gesture.
