Structure — Part I
The words that organize contemporary fashion — minimalism, avant-garde, intellectual fashion, quiet luxury — feel precise but collapse under pressure. They describe how clothes appear, not the intelligence beneath them. Structure is located in the garment: how it is made, how it holds, and how the body moves within it.
Structure — Part II
The work often arrives already named. It is placed quickly within terms that seem to explain it — hard-edge, abstract expressionism, minimalism, seriality. These terms make the work legible, but they also fix it at the surface, where agreement forms easily. They describe the result, not the operation.
