Deconstruction is often assumed to disrupt form for effect. In Maison Margiela’s work, it operates as a method for making structural relationships visible. Internal systems of the garment — seams, folds, and supports — are revealed as conditions that organize the whole.
Construction processes are left legible. Materials respond to layering, cutting, and reassembly rather than being hidden. Variation emerges through interaction between partial completion and visible technique.
