Enclosure is typically understood as a condition that separates inside from outside, producing containment through walls or boundaries. In Cristina Iglesias’ work, enclosure functions as a transitional system rather than a closed volume. Cast surfaces, screens, and architectural fragments create passages that admit light, sound, and air while restricting direct visibility.
Movement unfolds through partial obstruction. Sightlines break and reform as one progresses, so perception is structured by sequence rather than overview. Space is not revealed at once; it is registered through passage.
