Severity is often understood as a reduction of detail in favor of visual control. In Vaccarello’s work, severity operates as a measuring device. Cut, proportion, and exposure are tightly constrained so that silhouette registers through precision rather than ornament.
Form is elongated through line rather than volume. Openings are exact. Excess is removed not to neutralize desire, but to concentrate it within controlled edges and angles.
Structure holds through restriction. Identity is articulated by what is withheld as much as by what is revealed.
