Deconstruction is traditionally regarded as subtraction; in Y/Project’s work, it functions structurally to disrupt proportion and volume through layered misalignment. Seams, folds, and overlapping panels interrelate so that conventional alignment is replaced by relational tension. Proportion and edge interactions define a flexible system in which structural relationships hold in flux.
