Reflection as structure

Bell built a world where glass became thought.

His mirrored cubes and planes calibrate visibility and disappearance, treating reflection as structure.

Each work is a negotiation between object and atmosphere, surface and void.

He designed environments that appear to think with light.

In his world, perception is architecture — precision rendered in air.

How does transparency destabilize volume here?
This is some text inside of a div block.

Transparency is commonly treated as visual effect. In Larry Bell’s work, reflective and transparent surfaces function structurally to disrupt the solidity of volume and register space as relational and penetrable.

Edges dissolve, mass feels uncertain, and spatial intervals are modulated so that perception negotiates object, atmosphere, and light.
